Maxey, a rescued Cavachon, has had severe digestive issues for over 2 years. The vet's tests all show positive health results, no reason for his continuous bouts of diarrhea. The gastro food they recommended made him worse. We must have spent hundreds of pounds trying different dried and wet commercial brands. The only food he can tolerate is Salmon. They discontinued it. Having left the pet store in tears and feeling totally at a loss as to what to do next, I walked into Costa coffee. There was a man in the queue with a bag of Barking Heads Salmon! I chatted to him and he said his dog had had it for 3 years with no issues at all. Over coffee, I looked up Barking Heads, then went right back to the pet store and bought a bag. At first the stomach issues were the same, but after a week they improved 50/50. I ordered a wet sachet and tried adding it to some of the dry food. A little more improvement , but still not quite right. Next step, sachets only. The results were so positive after a few days that I now have the subscription service. I'm so grateful for the "coincidence " of seeing that man with his Barking Heads. He'll never know how much difference he made that day, but I know and Maxey knows. 🙂

My Dog Enjoys
Our dog has issues with most meat proteins but the Salmon flavour keeps his tummy settled and clearly he loves it as he still gets excited every meal time, even after having this same food for years!
We have a subscription and have been really pleased with the service.

Matty is a Romanian rescue and has a hard start to life with a lot of stomach issues. I’ve tried various different foods over the 5 years I’ve had him, and Barking Heads is the only brand that he’s had zero issues with.
I’ve even had to get him a puzzle bowl because he scoffs it down so fast!
