    WARNING ! PELLET SIZE HAS CHANGED ! A Struggle to Eat Normal Size Pellet !

    This morning, opening the newly arrived 1.5Kg bag delivery , the eldest  Dachshund Lola - Cream Dapple, simply gobbled her dry food down. BISOU my other Dachshund gave me a dirty look when she looked up at me. Didn't cotton on why did that. Begrudgingly she started eating, albeit, slowly & laboriously. That was odd. I then pulled out the empty bag from the bin, checked 3 times if I ordered the wrong dry dog feed, and came straight to the website looking for proof or pictures, as indeed the plastic container was full of normal size pellets & not the smaller type. Eventually I found the feedback here, from many owners, complaining on behalf of their voiceless SMALL BREED DOGS, who have partially lost teeth or all, and only have gums left.

    THE SMALLER SIZE DRY FOOD PELLETS WERE IDEAL !!!

    (for comparison, see Other Brand Versus Barking Heads round pellets for 'Small Adult Dogs upto 10kg' )

     So, Barking Heads, It was naughty not to WARN your CUSTOMERS in BOLD lettering on the Page & to show that the size of the Pellet had changed !

    WHAT A SHAME.

    The explanation from Barking Heads was a change of supplier !?? (I read on the Lamb feedback) .

    The day Barking Heads Management actually deal with this issue and get a new supplier who can produce the original smaller size pellet - Let me and your customers know, and I'll re-order in the future.

    Thank you for taking the time to review our product! We apologise that the change in size of the kibble has not been beneficial for your pet!

    I am afraid as you have not specified the product you are reviewing, I will have to assume you are referring to our Little Paws brand at Barking Heads. The size of this kibble was indeed changed and a notification of this was sent out to customers. We apologise if this was not received.

    Due to customer feedback this change has now been reverted and the size of the kibble has gone back to the smaller size. However this has not yet been dispensed as we need to deplete stock of the large size kibble. We do not have a date on when the smaller kibble will be back in circulation, but we are hoping to implement them soon.

    Delicious!

    We adopted a teeny little dog to our pack of much

    larger dogs. We decided to try her on Barking Heads and she’s thriving on it. From an abused dog with a poor coat, she is now looking marvellous. A good diet

    does make such a difference!
